Tonquin
China plate, 8.5" diameter, c1820 Here's another antique English plate which will be of special interest to collectors. Amazingly, no-one seems to know for sure who made Tonquin China, although the distinctive mark appears on good quality ironstone-type wares from c1820. This plate is in good condition for its age, with intricately handpainted decoration, although the green and yellow enamelled parts of the pattern have faded. Our price £250 US$480 €365
