 		 Mason's Patent Ironstone China dessert plate,
9.2" diameter, c1813-1829

This antique English Mason's Ironstone plate is decorated in the famous "Double Landscape" pattern, which is very sought-after.  There is extensive and intricate hand-painting over the dark blue areas, and the enamelling over the underglaze brown pattern is similarly well-executed.  The printed mark dates it to c1813-1829, and there's an interesting retailer's mark too.  It's in excellent condition, with only slight rubbing to the high spots of the sculpted shape.

 		 The familiar Mason's mark, printed in underglaze brown, dates this plate to the period c1813-1829.  The other mark is a retailer's mark for "Higginbotham, Thomas & Co, Dublin".
