 		 Davenport Stone China jug,
3.5" high, c1805-1820

A lovely jug, decorated in the very popular "Jardiniere" pattern.  Octagonal "Hydra" shape, with serpent handle. 3.5" high to the tip of the spout.  Very colourful and well-gilded.  There's a slight ridge (easier to feel than to see) on the outside of the lip of the spout - it's either a manufacturing defect or an excellent little bit of restoration.
