Stone China platter, 11.2" x 8", c1812-1830 This lovely antique English ironstone platter was produced by Josiah Spode, whose factory achieved very high quality standards. This platter is pattern number 2086 - one of the earlier patterns (2053 was the first Spode stone china pattern). It's just beautiful, with excellent hand-painted red details and fine gilding.
